Blue Jackets trim Penguins in shootout

Kristian Huselius potted the deciding goal in the shootout to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets past the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 on Thursday night.

Columbus cashed as -115 home favorites as the game played over the 5.5-goal total listed by oddsmakers.

Huselius scored in regulation for the Blue Jackets, who got a goal and an assist from both Antoine Vermette and Jason Williams in the win.

Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin each had two helpers for Pittsburgh, which outshot Columbus 41-28.
