Hurricanes blow over Capitals
The Carolina Hurricanes scored three goals in the third period to down the Washington Capitals 4-1 at the RBC Center Saturday night.
Carolina won as a -105 home favorite while the final score played under the 6-goal total.
Joni Pitkanen and Joe Corvo netted shorthanded goals in the third while Anton Babchuk pushed the Canes ahead on the scoreboard. Rod Brind�Amour opened scoring in the first period.
Mike Green scored the Capitals' lone goal late in the first period.
