Michael Ryder's second period goal was the winner, as the Boston Bruins defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-2 to take a 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series on Monday night.

Boston won as -135 road favorites as the game played over the 5.5-goal total set by oddsmakers.

Dennis Wideman had two assists for the Bruins, who outshot the Canadiens 30-25 in the win.

Yannick Weber put up a goal and an assist for Montreal, while Chris Higgins also found the back of the net for the Canadiens.
