Hurricanes even series with Devils

Tim Gleason scored at 2:40 of overtime to lift the Carolina Hurricanes over the New Jersey Devils 2-1 Friday night, and evened the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal.

Carolina won the game as +135 underdogs, while the three goals went UNDER the posted over/under (5).

Eric Staal scored the other marker for the Hurricanes, and Cam Ward stopped 33 shots for the victory.

Zach Parise scored the only goal for the Devils, and Martin Brodeur made 30 saves.
