Fleury, Pens control Flyers in Game 1

Marc-Andre Fleury made 26 saves in helping the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 in the opening game of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series Wednesday night at Mellon Arena.

Pittsburgh won the game as -165 favorites, while the five goals went UNDER the posted over/under (6).

Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin potted a goal and added an assist for the Penguins. Tyler Kennedy and Mark Eaton had the other markers in the victory.

Simon Gagne spoiled the shutout bid with the lone Flyers goal. Martin Biron stopped 29 shots in a losing effort.
