Evgeni Malkin had a goal and an assist on Monday night as the Pittsburgh Penguins topped the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in the opener of the Eastern Conference final.
The Pens got the victory as -200 home favorites in this contest, while the combined score fell just UNDER the night's posted total (5.5).
Miroslav Satan and Philippe Boucher also scored for Pittsburgh in the win. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 23 of 25 Carolina shots on the night.
