Panthers claw past Hawks in SO

Ville Koistinen scored the shootout winner Friday, as the Florida Panthers rallied for a 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in their season-opener in Finland.

The Panthers won the game as +140 underdogs, while the combined score made it OVER the day's posted over/under (5.5).

Koistinen, David Booth, and Michael Frolik scored in regulation for the Panthers. Tomas Vokoun was stellar in making 52 saves for the victory.

Patrick Sharp, Patrick Kane and Dustin Byfuglien tallied for the Blackhawks.
