John Tavares scored the shootout winner to help the New York Islanders defeat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 Wednesday night at Nassau Coliseum.
The Islanders won the game as +120 underdogs, while the combined score made it OVER the posted over/under (5.5).
Matt Moulson, Tim Jackman, and Andy Sutton scored in regulation for the Islanders. Dwayne Roloson turned away 35 shots for the win in net.
