Iowa survives Syracuse overtime scare

Albert Young scored from one yard out in overtime as No.14 Iowa stuck it out to drop Syracuse 20-13 at the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

Iowa did not cover the 20-point spread on the road, and the 33 points scored was UNDER the posted total of 41.

Jason Manson, filling in for the injured Drew Tate, was 14-for-28 for 178 yards and four interceptions, and Scott Chandler had six receptions for 65 yards and a major for the Hawkeyes.

Perry Patterson Jr. was 19-for-32 for 186 yards and one score, and Curtis Brinkley rushed for 53 yards on 11 attempts for the Orangemen.
