Mountaineers crush Orangemen

No.13 West Virginia held Syracuse to 202 yards and three turnovers in Week 6, as the Mountaineers hammered the Orangemen 55-14 at the Carrier Dome.

The Mountaineers covered the 27-point road spread, and the 69 points scored were OVER the posted total of 57.5.

Pat was 12-for-15 for 148 yards and one touchdown, while running for 89 yards and another score. Steve Slaton rushed for 69 yards on 15 carries for the Mountaineers.

Andrew Robinson went 5-for-15 for 100 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, while Curtis Brinkley had 50 yards and a major on 18 carries for the Orangemen.
