Minnesota beats Syracuse in OT

Eric Ellestad's 35 yard field goal in overtime gave the Minnesota Golden Gophers a 23-20 win over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday afternoon.

The Gophers did not cover the 7-point spread, while the final score played UNDER the day's posted total of 48.

Adam Weber led the Gophers with 248 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception on the day.

Greg Paulus threw for 164 yards, one TD and one interception for the Orange.
