Hurricanes defeat Tigers in triple overtime

Tyrone Moss’ third touchdown of the day came in triple overtime Saturday, and it gave the No. 13 Miami Hurricanes a 36-30 win over the No. 20 Clemson Tigers.

The Hurricanes, however, failed to cover the 7-point spread in this battle of ranked teams. The combined score went OVER the game’s posted total (44).

Hurricanes QB Kyle Wright went 16-of-26 for 153 yards on the day, throwing a touchdown pass to Quadtrine Hill.

For the Tigers, Charlie Whitehurst was good on 31-of-55 pass attempts for 286 yards, with two TD passes and an interception. Whitehurst ran for a score, while Cole Downer and Curtis Baham each had touchdown catches.
