Senators edge Oilers in shootout

Jason Spezza potted the deciding goal in the shootout to lift the Ottawa Senators over the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Ottawa won as -160 home favorites, while the teams played OVER the 5.5-goal total listed by sportsbooks.

Jonathan Cheechoo, Nick Foligno, and Chris Neil scored in regulation for the Senators, who were outshot 34-25 by the Oilers in the win.

Gilbert Brule, Dustin Penner, and Ethan Moreau found the back of the net for Edmonton, which got two assists from Steve Staios on the night.
