Clemson handles Middle Tennessee
The Clemson Tigers started the 2009 season on the right foot with a 37-14 win over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at Memorial Stadium in Week 1.
Clemson covered the 18.5-point spread while the final score played over the 47-point total.
Clemson running back Jamie Harper rushed for 75 yards. Wide receivers Jacoby Ford and Marquan Jones each caught for 70 yards and a touchdown from quarterback Kyle Parker, who finished with 159 yards passing.
Middle Tennessee was led by quarterback Dwight Dasher, who passed for 204 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. Dasher also scrambled for 61 yards on the ground.
