Tomas Holmstrom, Henrik Zetterberg, and Niklas Kronwall scored for the Red Wings. Jimmy Howard stopped 31 shots in the first-star performance.
Mason Raymond tallied for the Canucks, and Roberto Luongo stopped 26 shots in the loss.
