Carolina won the game as a +105 underdog, while the combined score made it OVER the posted over/under (6).
Tim Gleason scored a pair for the Hurricanes, while singles came off the sticks of Stephane Yelle, Matt Cullen, and Erik Cole.
Matt Stajan, Lee Stempniak, Mikhail Grabovski, Alexei Ponikarovsky, and Ian White answered in regulation for the Maple Leafs. Jonas Gustavsson made 40 saves in a losing effort.
