Quinn picks apart Penn State defence in Notre Dame romp
No.4 Notre Dame jumped out to a 20-0 halftime lead, and never looked back as a potent balance of offence and defence fired the Fighting Irish over No.19 Penn State 41-17 at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday.
The Irish covered the 8.5-point spread at home, and the 58 combined points were OVER the posted total of 47.
Brady Quinn threw for 287 yards and three majors on 25-for-36 passing, Darius Walker had 129 rushing and receiving yards and one touchdown, and Rhema McKnight caught five passes for 60 yards and a score for the Irish.
Anthony Morelli was 21-for-33 for 191 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and Jordan Norwood had six catches for 90 yards for the Nittany Lions.
