Quinn makes late Heisman charge
Brady Quinn continued his current hot streak by going 23-for-35 for 349 yards and four touchdowns as the No.11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat up the North Carolina Tar Heels 45-26 at Nore Dame Stadium on Saturday.
The Irish could not cover the 24.5-point spread at home, but the 71 points scored were OVER the posted total of 52.
Jeff Samardzija was Quinn's main target with six catches for 178 yards and a touchdown, and Darius Walker ran 19 times for 83 yards and a score for the Irish.
Joe Dailey was impressive as well, going 14-for-22 for 214 yards and three touchdowns, and Hakeem Nicks had 171 yards and two majors on six receptions for the Tar Heels.
