Sabres slam Hurricanes

The Buffalo Sabres lit up the Carolina Hurricanes for 5-1 win at the HSBC Arena Saturday night.

Buffalo won as a -193 home favorite while the final score played OVER the 5.5-goal total.

Jochen Hecht finished with a goal and an assist for the Sabres while goaltender Ryan Miller stopped 30 shots in the win.

The Hurricanes were led by Matt Cullen, who scored the team's lone goal in the first period.
