Theo Riddick scampered through the BYU defense for 143 yards as Notre Dame handed the Cougars a 17-14 defeat on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.
Notre Dame did not, however, defeat the Cougars against the spread, which closed at 11.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 41.5.

Jamaal Williams rushed for 64 yards for BYU, while Iona Pritchard added 9 yards. Riley Nelson threw for 177 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Cody Hoffman and Jamaal Williams had 86 and 42 yards respectively.
BYU was outgained by Notre Dame 389-243 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 17-16 by the Cougars.
The time of possession battle favored Notre Dame as their offense was on the field for 30:41, longer than the 29:19 of their opponents.
