The Atlanta Thrashers needed a late goal in the third to take a 2-1 shootout win over the Florida Panthers at BankAtlantic Center Saturday.
Atlanta won as a -109 road favorite while the final score played UNDER the 5.5-goal total.
Rich Peverley netted the shootout winner while Ilya Kovalchuk scored in regulation.
Stephen Weiss scored the Panthers lone goal. Netminder Tomas Vokoun stopped 36 shots in the loss.
