Flyers down Hurricanes in shootout
The Philadelphia Flyers won a hard-fought game against the Carolina Hurricanes, winning 4-3 in a shootout at RBC Center Saturday.
Philadelphia won as a -116 road favorite while the final score played OVER the 5.5-goal total.
Mike Richards netted the shootout winner and also added a first-period goal. Goaltender Michael Leighton made 37 saves in the win.
The Canes were led by Jussi Jokinen's two goals while goaltender Cam Ward stopped 33 shots in the loss.
