Detroit won as a -155 home favorite while the final score played UNDER the 5.5-goal total.
Aside from Bertuzzi's efforts, the Red Wings got 28 saves from goaltender Jimmy Howard.
The Blue Jackets' lone goal came from Antoine Vermette in the first period.
