Andrews carries Wake Forest to opening victory
Micah Andrews had 150 yards on the ground on 20 carries, as the the Wake Forest Demon Deacons doubled the Syracuse Orangemen 20-10 at Groves Stadium on Saturday.
Wake Forest just missed covering the 14-point spread, and the 30 points scored was UNDER the posted total of 44.
Ben Mauk was 14-of-21 for 106 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and Willie Idlette had four receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown for the Demon Deacons.
Perry Patterson, Jr. had 50 yards on 6-of-19 passing, and one score. Curtis Brinkley had seven carries for 48 yards on the ground for the Orangemen.
