Tigers survive Wake Forest scare
The No.15 Clemson Tigers needed a 24-0 fourth quarter to upend the pesky Wake Forest Demon Deacons 27-17 at Groves Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers did not manage to cover the 16-point spread on the road, and the 44 points scored created a PUSH with the posted total of 44.
Will Proctor labored through a 21-for-31 day, passing for 225 yards and a touchdown, but three interceptions. C.J. Spiller had nine carries for 105 yards and a score for the Tigers.
Riley Skinner was 16-for-21 for 162 yards, one major, and one pick, while Nate Morton had 64 receiving yards on four catches for the Demon Deacons.
