Recap - Demon Deacons Defeat Presbyterian 53-13

The battle between the Demon Deacons and Blue Hose didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Presbyterian was handed a 53-13 defeat on Thursday at BB&T Field.

The Demon Deacons earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 45-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 57.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Ted Stachitas completed 7 of 13 pass attempts for 84 yards for the Demon Deacons in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Trandon Dendy rushed for 49 yards for Presbyterian, while Lance Byrd added 19. Brandon Miley threw for 165 yards for the Blue Hose, while receivers Michael Ruff and Jeremy Cole had 122 and 76 yards respectively.

Wake Forest outgained Presbyterian 509-362 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Demon Deacons.

The time of possession battle favored Presbyterian as their offense was on the field for 32:11, longer than the 27:49 of their opponents.

Wake Forest looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blue Devils. The Blue Hose will aim to get on the winning track at Clemson.
