Sharks devour Capitals

Joe Pavelski scored a pair of goals to help the San Jose Sharks cruise to a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals Wednesday night at HP Pavilion.

San Jose won the game as -140 favorites, and the seven goals made it OVER the posted over/under (6).

Torrey Mitchell, Ryane Clowe, and Joe Thornton added the other goals for the Sharks. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 23 shots for the victory.

Mike Knuble and Alex Ovechkin replied for the Capitals. Michal Neuvirth made 27 saves in a losing cause.
