Black Knights Fall 49-37 Against Wake Forest - Game Recap
Josh Harris tore up the turf for 129 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Demon Deacons to a 49-37 win over the Black Knights at BB&T Field.
The Demon Deacons were a 7-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 55.5.
Tanner Price completed 15 of 24 pass attempts for 221 yards for the Demon Deacons in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Raymond Maples rushed for 140 yards for Army, while Larry Dixon added 112 yards. Trent Steelman threw for 77 yards for the Black Knights, while receivers Chevaughn Lawrence and Malcolm Brown had 45 and 19 yards respectively.
Army was outgained by Wake Forest 517-506 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-25 by the Black Knights.
The time of possession battle favored Army as their offense was on the field for 33:26, longer than the 26:34 of their opponents.
Next game, Wake Forest takes its act home to face Duke looking for another win. For Army, they head home to face Stony Brook.
