Wildcats hold back Thundering Herd

The Kansas State Wildcats were shut out in the second half Saturday, but they still managed to pick up a 21-19 win over the Marshall Thundering Herd.

The Wildcats, however, did fail to cover the 9.5-point spread on the road in this contest. The combined score fell UNDER the day’s posted total (54).

Wildcats QB Allen Webb went 10-of-19 for 126 yards in the win, tossing two touchdown strikes and getting intercepted once. Thomas Clayton ran for 151 yards and a score, and also had a TD catch.

For the Herd, Jimmy Skinner was good on 15-of-26 pass attempts for 189 yards, but was picked off twice. Ahmad Bradshaw led the way on offense for Marshall, running for two scores.
