Thundering Herd nips Mustangs in OT

The Marshall Thundering Herd came from behind to edge the SMU Mustangs 16-13 in overtime on Saturday.

The host Herd was favored by 12 points coming into the game but failed to cover the spread. The combined points scored of 29 was UNDER the listed over/under of 44.5.

Marshall QB Bernard Morris was good on 34-of-60 passing attempts for 314 yards and rushed for 63 yards on 15 carries while scoring two touchdowns including the OT game-winner. WR Hiram Moore hauled in eight receptions for 107 yards.

SMU QB Jerad Romo completed 10-of-22 passing attempts for 151 yards.

Marshall improves to 2-2 this season, while SMU falls to 1-4.
