Slaton lifts Mountaineers
Steve Slaton ran for three touchdowns on Thursday, as the fourth-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers easily defeated the Maryland Terrapins 31-14.
West Virginia just managed to cover the 16.5-point spread, while the combined 45 points fell UNDER the posted total of 61.
Slaton carried the ball 26 times and collected 139 yards, while Patrick White completed 8-of-13 pass attempts and ran in for a score.
Keon Lattimore rushed for 80 yards from 20 carries with a touchdown for the Terrapins. Jordan Steffy finished 16-of-23 pass attempts for 180 yards with one TD and two interceptions.
