Canucks burn Bruins in shootout
Pavol Demitra scored the only goal in the shootout to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins at TD Banknorth Garden Saturday.
Vancouver won as a -109 road favorite while the final score PUSHED with the 5-goal total.
Demitra was also responsible for a game-tying goal late in the third period that sent the contest to extra time. Mason Raymond scored for the Canucks in the second period.
Boston jumped out to a quick lead with goals from Zdeno Chara and Michael Ryder in the first period.
