Montreal won as a +134 home underdog while the final score played OVER the 5.5-goal total.
On top of Gionta's efforts, the Habs got goals from Tomas Plekanec, Scott Gomez and Mathieu Darche in the win.
The Penguins got goals from the sticks of Pascal Dupuis and Bill Guerin. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 shots before getting pulled.
