Sergei Samsonov scored the overtime winner to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night.
Carolina won the game as +105 underdogs, and the five goals went UNDER the posted over/under (5.5).
Brandon Sutter, Ray Whitney, and Stephane Yelle scored in regulation for the Hurricanes. Manny Legace stopped 29 shots for the victory.
Derek Roy scored a pair of goals for the Sabres, and Jochen Hecht had the other goal in the loss.
