Hurricanes storm past Devils

Ray Whitney potted two power play goals and the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New Jersey Devils 5-2 Saturday night.

Carolina won the game as +110 underdogs, and the seven goals made it OVER the posted over/under (5).

Jussi Jokinen added a pair of goals, while Zach Boychuk had the other marker for the Hurricanes. Eric Staal pocketed two assists in the win.

Zach Parise and Brian Rolston tallied for the Devils, while Martin Brodeur was pulled after giving up four goals off 22 shots.
