Penguins stomp Stars

The Pittsburgh Penguins picked up their third straight win since the Olympic break, downing the Dallas Stars 6-3 at Mellon Arena Saturday afternoon.

Pittsburgh won as a -224 home favorite while the final score played OVER the 5.5-goal total.

Sidney Crosby scored two goals and added an assist for the Penguins. Jordan Staal, Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis and newly acquired Alexei Ponikarovsky all scored in the win.

Mike Ribeiro, Brandon Segal and Loui Eriksson all scored to give the Stars a 3-1 second-period lead. Goaltender Kari Lehtonen allowed six goals on 34 shots.
