Rangers topple Thrashers

Vinny Prospal had two goals and an assist to lead the New York Rangers over the Atlanta Thrashers 5-2 on Friday night.

New York won as -120 road favorites, while the teams played OVER the 5.5-goal total posted by sportsbooks.

Marian Gaborkik recorded a goal and two assists for the Rangers, who got a goal and an assist from Ryan Callahan in the win.

Clarke MacArthur and Ron Hainsey scored for Atlanta, which was outshot 35-31 by New York on the night.
