Seminoles win defensive battle with Hurricanes

The Florida St. Seminoles defense got them a win to start the season Monday night, as they defeated the Miami Hurricanes 10-7.

The Seminoles were a 3.5-point underdog in the game. The 17 points scored were well UNDER the posted over/under total (38.5).

Seminoles’ quarterback David Weatherford struggled in his first start, completing only 7-of-24 passes for 67 yards with an interception. James Coleman ran in the Seminoles only touchdown from a yard out in the first quarter.

Hurricanes quarterback Kyle Wright completed 16-of-28 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown, but also threw two interceptions. Tyrone Moss rushed for 102 yards on 23 carries.
