Seminole rally from behind to knock off Maryland
Drew Weatherford and James Coleman each had fourth-quarter touchdowns to give the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles a 35-27 come-from-behind win over the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.
Despite losing the game, the Terrapins were still able to cover the 17-point spread. The game’s combined 62 points went OVER the posted total 48.5.
Weatherford completed 27-of-37 passes for 265 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, while running for 25 yards and a TD. Leon Washington rushed for a touchdown and Willie Reid returned a punt for a 60-yard touchdown in the win.
Terrapins’ Quarterback Joel Statham threw two touchdown passes and added another score on the ground in the loss.
