Hurricanes edge Canadiens

Eric Staal poked in a rebound early in the third period to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens Wednesday night at the Bell Centre.

Carolina won the game as +140 underdogs, while the three goals went UNDER the posted over/under (5.5).

Brandon Sutter potted the other marker for the Hurricanes, while Cam Ward turned away 34 shots for the win.

Marc-Andre Bergeron had the lone goal for the Canadiens, while Carey Price made 25 saves in the loss.
