Devils shut down Hurricanes

Martin Brodeur made 26 saves for the shutout Saturday, as the New Jersey Devils blanked the Carolina Hurricanes 4-0.

New Jersey won the game as +105 underdogs, but the teams played UNDER the night’s posted over/under (5.5).

Dainius Zubrus, Patrik Elias, Zach Parise, and David Clarkson scored for the Devils. Ilya Kovalchuk pocketed two assists in the win.

Cam Ward turned away 25-of-28 shots in a losing effort for Carolina.
