Oilers crown Kings in shootout

Shawn Horcoff netted the go-ahead shootout goal and Devan Dubnyk came up with the winning save, giving the Edmonton Oilers a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings at STAPLES Center Saturday.

Edmonton won as a +225 road underdog while the final score played OVER the 5.5-goal total. The Oilers gave up three goals in the third period to force the additional periods. Tom Gilbert scored and Mike Comrie added two goals during regulation. Dubnyk stopped 52 of 55 shots.

Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick faced just 16 shots in the loss. Dustin Brown, Jarret Stoll and Michal Handzus all scored for Los Angeles in the third period.
