Patrice Bergeron scored the winner midway through the third period to lift the Boston Bruins past the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series on Monday night.

Dennis Wideman had a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
