Snelling steers Virginia to victory
Jameel Sewell went 23-for-33 for 215 yards, as well as running for 41 yards and two touchdowns as the Virginia Cavaliers defeated the Miami (FL) Hurricanes 17-7 at Scott Stadium on Saturday.
The Cavaliers were 3-point underdogs at home, and the 24 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 37.
Jason Snelling had 28 carries for 55 yards, and six catches for 58 yards. Jonathon Stupar had seven receptions for 47 yards.
Kirby Freeman was 11-for-18 for 148 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Javarris James ran 21 times for 95 yards for the Hurricanes.
