Jaroslav Halak came back in a must-win Game 5 and stopped 37 shots as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Washington Capitals 2-1 Friday night at the Verizon Center, and now trail the best-of-seven quarter-final 3-2.

Montreal won the game as +300 underdogs, and the three goals went UNDER the posted over/under (6).

Michael Cammalleri and Travis Moen tallied for the Canadiens. Alex Ovechkin replied for the Capitals.
