Sharks fend off Wings in Game 1

The San Jose Sharks scored three goals in less than two minutes and held on for a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals Thursday night.

San Jose won the game as -140 favorites, while the seven goals made it OVER the posted over/under (5.5) set by sportsbooks.

Joe Pavelski scored twice on the power play for the Sharks, while Devin Setoguchi and Dany Heatley added the other markers in the win.

Danny Cleary, Johan Franzen, and Brian Rafalski tallied for the Red Wings.
