Northwestern rally in fourth to edge Hawkeyes
Brett Basanez threw a nine-yard touchdown to Ross Lane with 42 seconds remaining in the game to life the Northwestern Wildcats to a 28-27 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday.
Northwestern won this game as 3-point underdogs at home, and improved to 6-3 on the year with the victory. The game’s combined 55 points fell UNDER the posted over/under (63).
Basanez finished the game completing 31-of-51 passes for 335 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Tyrell Sutton rushed for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 17 carries for the Wildcats.
Albert Young ran for 202 yards and two touchdowns, while QB Drew Tate threw for 276 yards and rushed for a TD in the loss.
