Wildcats win defensive struggle

The Northwestern defensive unit held Eastern Michigan to two field goals and 134 yards of total offense to win a 14-6 battle with the Eagles at Ryan Field on Saturday.

The Wildcats did not cover the 17-point spread at home, and the 20 points scored was well UNDER the posted total of 52.5.

Mike Kafka was 10-for-18 for 76 yards and one interception, and he ran for a major as well. Tyrell Sutton carried the ball 18 times for 91 yards for the Wildcats.

Tyler Jones went 6-for-15 for 37 yards and one pick, and Pierre Walker was limited to 36 yards on ten carries for the Eagles.
