Spartans pull off amazing comeback
Perhaps inspired by their early-season collapse against Notre Dame, Michigan State scored the final 38 points of the game to stun Northwestern 41-38 at Ryan Field in the biggest comeback in NCCA history.
The Spartans did not cover the 9.5.-point spread on the road, but the 79 points scored were well OVER the posted total of 47.5.
Drew Stanton sparked the comeback by going 27-for-37 for 197 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, and Kerry Reed had nine catches for 102 yards for the Spartans.
C.J. Bacher was 15-for-29 for 243 yards, three scores, and two picks, and Tyrell Sutton ran 21 times for 171 yards for the shocked Wildcats.
