Buckeyes warm up for Michigan showdown

No.1 Ohio State got ready for their huge game against Michigan next week with a 54-10 destruction of Northwestern at Ryan Field on Saturday.

The Buckeyes covered the 22.5-point spread away from home, and the 64 points scored were OVER the posted total of 42.

Troy Smith was picked off, but still went 12-for-19 for 185 yards and four touchdowns. Chris Wells ran 11 times for 99 yards and a score for the Buckeyes.

C.J. Bacher was 17-for-28 for 212 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, while Tyrell Sutton ran for 57 yards, and had 75 receiving yards and a major for the Wildcats.
