Wildcats vs RedBirds Final: 37-3 - Recap
The battle between the Wildcats and RedBirds didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Illinois State was handed a 37-3 defeat on Saturday at Ryan Field.
Northwestern was a favorite by 25 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 57.5.
Dan Persa completed 19 of 23 pass attempts for 240 yards for the Wildcats in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Ashton Leggett rushed for 39 yards for Illinois State, while Erik Smith added 22 yards. Matt Brown threw for 138 yards for the RedBirds, while receivers Tyrone Walker and Matt Mose had 58 and 25 yards respectively.
